“A Beautiful Villa and a Beautiful Island.”
Myself, my partner and her family (all 9 of us) stayed at this villa for 2 weeks in August 13. It is a beautifully kept villa with everything you could possibly need for a fantastic holiday. The pool and the villa are kept excellently by Doug and a team of cleaners and you can lose yourself in relaxation whilst you are there.
BBQ’s in the evening, fun and games in the pool, beautiful sunshine and a picturesque Island to explore.
Booking the villa was a breeze and Steve the owner makes everything simple.
The big plus for us was the fact that it is a 5 minute journey from the airport, so after our flight, we were out of the airport, in the villa, unpacked and in the pool in about an hour !
Lots of stunning beaches within a good 10 minute drive or 30 minute walk.
We will most definitely be using the villa again.
I cannot recommend it highly enough !

“Outstanding Villa a True Home from Home”
This was our 4th visit to Villa Margaret Rose since 2006, we absolutely love Kefalonia and the villa is superb, always immaculate and exceptionally well maintained by the owner and Doug a British man who lives on the Island and attends to the Pool and cleaning he is always available for advice and tips on getting the most from your stay. The villa has recently had an additional fully fitted kitchen installed on the ground floor, with the swimming pool on this level it is a brilliant enhancement.
The owner has also had broadband wifi Internet installed which my teenage kids fully utilised!
I would recommend hiring a car and exploring the island it’s truly beautiful and you’ll be rewarding with stunning views and beaches as well as traditional and unspoilt Greek villages, Assos and Fiskardo are well worth a visit, or just laze about the pool!
In summary Kefalonia is always at the top of our list when thinking about our holiday and the fantastic amenities and attention to detail coupled with a the owners genuine desire to look after you mean we wouldn’t stay anywhere else than Villa Margaret Rose!

“Lovely large well equipped villa with pool in a quiet village but convenient to airport and beaches.”
Have just spent a week at this lovely large villa in Sarlata which is a quiet village but close to the airport.
The villa is very well equipped with cooking equipment, barbecue, pool table , board games and a good selection of DVD’s to keep teenagers entertained.
The villa was spotless and the staff are helpful and friendly.
The beach towels supplied are an added bonus as is the WiFi.
There are 3 lovely sandy beaches within a 30 minute stroll downhill , but get a lift back!
Our favourite was Avithos which had a nice beach bar and two tavernas.
To explore the island a car is essential and the owner has provided a comprehensive folder full of recommendations.
Our personal favourites were the Captain Vangelis Kefalonian coast cruise which takes in Fiscardo and Melissani lake but it leaves from Scala, only a 40 minute drive.
Also Assos is beautiful and the coast road takes you past a view of Myrtos beach which is spectacular.
Argostoli town is nice at night time when it’s cooled down.
Would definitely return here.
